Please tell us in your own words what you want your computer to do. 

Here are some guiding questions.

• Are you going to use your computer at home or office?
  
• What type of software application will be installed on your computer? (i.e. games, DVD software, etc.)
  
• Do you want your computer to be also your DVD player that can be connected to your television set?
  
• How important is Internet connection to you? Will you be using a dial-up services or you require high speed Internet connection?
  
• Think about upgrading your computer in the future. Is this important to you? If you think that you will be constantly upgrading your computer you should consider computer system that has interchangeable parts. You may pay more now, however, you will save money in a long run. 
  
• What is your budget? Please specify the amount in Canadian or US funds. Don't just say: "Oh... it is so small". "So Small or not a big one Big" means many things to many people.... 
• Just say: "My realistic budget is $.... or.... I can afford to spend $..."
